Manager Jane Lauber, a member of the Hurstbridge Traders Association says that all staff at the Hurstbridge Post Office are local residents and are committed to providing a professional and friendly service to customers at all times.
Over 90 % of all household bills including electricity, telephone, rates, and vehicle registration bills can be paid at the Hurstbridge Post Office.
For added customer convenience, staff are also able to process on line banking transactions through the Commonwealth Bank, City Bank, most Credit Unions and many other banking institutions. Customers can even purchase prepaid mobile phone cards and have their overseas passport applications processed.
Private mail boxes, ensuring added safety, privacy and early morning delivery are available from as little as $11.00. Enquires can be made at the counter.
The store also offers a range of gifts to suit all ages and occasions including exquisite chinaware, glassware, timber crafts, educational books, toys, and novelty items, as well as a large range of souvenir items perfect for gifts or overseas postage. Greeting cards and wraps are available for purchase however customers may choose to take advantage of the free gift-wrap available in store.
An extensive range of stationery and computer accessories are also available at very reasonable prices and include such items as cartridges, compact discs and floppy discs.
A fax service is also available for customers.
The Hurstbridge Post Office has been in existence since 1918 and boasts a charm and character of the townships early years. With so many services available at one location, it's well worth a visit. Office hours are 9.00 am - 5.00 pm from Monday to Friday with extended hours on Thursday from 7.30am - 7.00pm and from 9.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. on Saturday.
